Tell us a bit about yourself (put your bio here if you have one): [makina] (Cem N. Garip) who was born in Bursa, Turkey in the mid 80's is a Turkish music composer, instrumentalist and sound alchemist with a hybrid style, characterized by modern multi-model composition with substantial role of new sonic properties of instrumentation created by force of digital technique and live-performance. His work is represented not only by solo projects, but by his partnership with producers all around the globe that involves his signature with their work also. [makina] is the founder to many underground projects through out eastern Europe to the eastern states of the US as well as some of the internet-based projects like; GrooveHell, Tru Base, NG-7 & GZP*.

[makina] has been composing since 1998, when, as a pianist and a synth player, he started to produce small deep and dark productions for these instruments. Soon, though, he abandons these productions for a longer period and takes up underground electronica group music up to 2001, when, together with drummer and producer Zim A. Nail established experimental post-electronica team STD. Simultaneously In 2002 he decided to focus on other genres as well nevertheless with an attempt to enhance the action potential by modern means of expression and by searching for specific processes. He attempts to resume the tradition of 21st century music, but eventually attains his own clear-cut position both in tone creative principles as in free-production style and opinion on heavy-beats and the role of not quite musical components in it. That year he created his first trial in this direction, experimental solo work with dark-hybrid characteristics Virus.

With his new directions, [makina] slowly built up songs as well as his business on music throughout the planet. Where the year 2008, brought him extra-ordinary release power with his new release Hybrid. This album was truly a mirror image of his work over the years and became a hit in several countries like, France, Turkey, Germany, Poland & so forth. He has clashed and became apart of so many different genres, that he is reflecting them with his new releases over the forth-coming months.
