That is great to hear, Nick! :-D Button Pusher...couldn't have put it better myself! I will always use vinyl...one has to suffer for their art! However, I may use Ableton Live as a SLAVE to Vinyl...reckon them two combined is a potent force! Ain't touching CDJs, that's for sure! *LOL*
Safe...

thank you to norman sykes for the invite, Vinyl rocks my world, thats all i use for mixing plus a cd mixer to mix my own tracks, i know vinyl can be extremly heavy but theres that skill factor from using it, i will never be a button pusher and will always ride the plastic

As an old school (as in I started in 1994 and gave it up in 2004) DJ, I have to say that although vinyl sounds better, it's a real pain on the back. I remember taxis that I'd pre-booked refusing to take me because of the amount of record boxes I had to carry around. Nowadays, you can turn up with just a laptop or book of CDs and be laughing... bastards...

Oh, and I've over 5000 12" singles in my loft that I'll be gradually flogging off on Ebay - need the room more than I need the vinyl (so says my missus), including the 2x12" of Born Slippy from 1996 :(

Cd or not CD..that is the vinyl question.
I dont think Wax will ever go..as long as we keep the market alive..u know us CRAZY FOOLS who spend all our hard cash on wax.
Dont get me wrong I also use CD as I feel they have an use as well, PLUS it's a easy way to mix my homegrown tunage into my collection.
CD have a place(even though I had a pair for 2 yrs before I started using them..I use to turn my nose up on them)
The good thing about Wax is the track is THERE in your hands..the groove is there and the breaks and buildup can be seen ..u know what I mean.
CD on the other hand is a wavepattern which is ok..but not the same
Now Serato is good but one thing..when u look at the vinyl it's generic so u still look at the wavepattern on the screen.....like CD'djin
So Keep Vinyl Alive...but CD'in is a handy skill to have..
